Chairman of Global India Foundation, Vice Admiral P J Jacob, Admiral P J Jacob, Chairman of the Foundation, passed away on 22nd May 2023 at the age of 82 at his home in Bengaluru. He played a stellar role in the defence of the country through his various roles and responsibilities in the Indian Navy, through his leadership of the Indian Coast Guard, and through his contribution as a Member of the National Security Advisory Board to Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. He was a recipient of the Param Vishisht Seva Medal, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal and Vishisht Seva Medal and was well known in the country for his forthright views. Admiral Jacob was the Founder-Chairman of the Global India Foundation. The Foundation benefited immensely from his vision, leadership and organisational contribution. His enduring contribution to the Foundation and his service to the nation will always be remembered with deep respect and gratitude.
